Lumixa: FLE Treatments

Skin Normaliser or Collagen Booster Treatments

Lumixa treatments use an innovative technology called Fluorescent Light Energy (FLE), to enhance and increase the results of blue LED light treatments.  Lumixa treatments are designed for the prevention and correction of either ‘inflammaging’ and general intrinsic ageing.

Lumixa Collagen Booster is designed for treating the overall signs of ageing.  The activated Lumixa gel converts blue light into Fluorescent Light Energy (FLE), which stimulates the skin’s own repair mechanisms to heal at a cellular level.  Each treatment stimulates fibroblast activity in the skin to promote collagen and elastin growth and reduces signs of ageing.

Lumixa Skin Normaliser targets the signs and symptoms of “inflammaging”, where inflammation occurs, accelerating the skin’s ageing process.  This inflammatory response can cause damage to skin tissue through:

  • Dehydration
  • Skin matrix weakening
  • Collagen and Elastin degradation
  • Skin barrier impairment
  • Solar lentigo

Both the Lumixa Collagen Booster and Skin Normaliser treatments are $259.00 per treatment.

FAQs On Lumixa

What Results Can You Expect?

Lumixa treatments are intended for the prevention and correction of the signs associated with inflammaging and intrinsic ageing:

1 “Fluo Rejuvenation”: stimulation of regeneration mechanisms
2 “Skin gym“: reinforces natural defence mechanisms
3 Natural glow enhancement
4 Anti-redness effect
5 Stimulation of collagen production

What Is Involved With Lumixa Treatments?

The standard protocol for Lumixa treatments is 1 treatment every 1 to 2 weeks for 5 treatments.

Lumixa treatments contain a flurophore, a fluroescent chemical compound that when activated under LED light converts in a multi-wavelength. Once activated, the Lumixa gels perform a photoconversion producing a spectrum of Fluroescent Light Energy (FLE). This FLE energy reacts within 3 layers of the skin simultantiously, giving you the benefit of multiple wavelengths within the one treatment.

Blue Light: works epidermally, targeting bacteria and inflammation

Green Light: works epidermally, stimulating skin healing and skin tone correction.

Yellow Light: works dermally, boosting blood circulation and resulting in a reduction in oedema and swelling.

Red Light: works at the deepest level in the dermis targeting fibroblasts that are responsible for stimulating new collagen production.

How Long Until I See The Results?

The treatment involves a course of 5 treatments- with 1 treatment every 1 to 2 weeks.

Results are noticed after each individual session. However, following a course of Lumixa treatments, improvements in the skin typically peak around the 10 to 12 weeks following the last Lumixa treatment.

Is Lumixa Painful?

No, Lumixa treatments are not painful.

During the treatment, some clients may notice a warm or tingling sensation. This is a normal part of the treatment experience.

Lumixa treatments are non-invasive and involve minimal to no post-treatment downtime. Clients with naturally darker skin, (Fitzpatrick III+ skin types) may experience temporary bronzing, and freckles can appear darker following treatment. These effects are temporary and will gradually fade as the treatment process progresses.

What Is Fluorescent Light Energy (FLE)?

FLE is a hyper-pulsed light, targeting multiple layers of the skin at once. FLE stimulates biological processes in the skin to activate the skin’s own regeneration methods. It’s amazing for controlling and minimising redness, producing collagen, and enhancing the skin’s glow, bringing dull skin back to life!

Lumixa gel contains a patented fluorophore – a chemical compound excited by light. It’s effective at settling skin reactivity and stress, preventing and combating inflammation, and regenerating and revitalising the skin.

How Does FLE Differ From LED Treatments?

While LED uses a single continuous light wavelength, FLE covers a wide spectrum of wavelengths at the same time. LED delivers a blue light, and FLE generates green, yellow and red.
